2) When and why did you begin rowing?
Year 7 at school 1999. My father was a coxswain and I loved the water so I gave it a go!

3) What are the best and worst things about this sport?
The close team spirit involved in rowing and the racing and training locations of Europe….Awesome. Negative in Australia is that there is not enough exposure to the public and lack of money.

4) Who has been the greatest inspiration to you in the world of rowing?
Oarsome Foursome during the 1990's and Brett Hayman (Australian Men's 8+ coxswain 1996 & 2000 Olympics).

5) What are your secret ambitions both in and outside of rowing?
Compete at my first Olympic games in London 2012, guide the Aussie Men's 8+ to an Olympic Gold but also to be consistently a driving force in the Men's 8+ for the next Olympiad and for the years ahead that I am involved In rowing. Once I'm finished with the sport I'm driven to enter the workforce and work in the Construction Industry, concentrating on sustainable materials and energy.

6) You find an old blade washed up on the banks of Lucerne. As you wipe it clean, the "Genie of Lucerne" appears and offers you three wishes to improve rowing in your country. What would you wish for?
. More of a media profile.

3. Bigger rate of participation and involvement, ultimately improve our results because of a deep and better squad to pick from.

7) Would you encourage your children to row?
Yes I would encourage my children solely because Rowing has a great image internationally and is a very prestigious sport which needs to have it's legacy carried on for years to come.

8) Which is the most beautiful place that you have rowed and where would you most like to row?
Lucerne is incredible but I have also heard great things about Bled, Slovenia so I am excited to experience that in 6 weeks time. Lucerne is generally reliable for great racing and weather. I love Switzerland.

8+)If you could ask someone from the world of rowing a question, what would it be and to whom? We will do our best to ask them on your behalf!
Um….I have always looked up to those athletes that have been involved in the sport for many years, Yuri Jansen (EST) and wonder how he has kept the drive to consistently train and compete. He sets the standard for the rest of us young people and is an inspiration.
